Hello everyone and welcome to my blog!
My name is Sofia Nikitaki, I originally come from Greece, and I am a religious studies scholar doing my PhD at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven) in Belgium. At this moment I am conducting a cross-cultural qualitative research study, which concerns the attitudes and ideas of nonreligious individuals in Belgium, Greece, and Norway. My research is supervised by Prof. Dr. Annemie Dillen, and funded by the F.W.O. (Fonds Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek – Vlaanderen/Research Foundation – Flanders).
My study concerns specifically the attitudes, opinions and ideas that nonreligious/nonbelieving individuals from the Millennial generation (born ≈ 1981-1998) hold about their own outlooks, as well as on the various opinions and ideas that they might carry about ‘god’ and/or ‘higher power’-related concepts. This blog will be utilized as one of my exploration tools, along with in-depth interviews of nonbelieving millennials from the aforementioned countries. Therefore, I am happy to invite any nonreligious individual out there (even those outside my countries/generation of interest) to make a profile and comment on the issues that will be posted here. Your feedback is more than valuable for my research, and more than appreciated!
